We are looking for an experienced and dedicated road worker to join our team. As a road worker, you will be responsible for performing various tasks related to the construction, repair and maintenance of roads and infrastructure. You will work closely with your colleagues, a team of professionals and contribute to the successful completion of projects.
Profile
What we expect from a groundworker/roadworker:
- You possess a B driver’s license (C driver’s license is a plus).
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
- Physically fit and willing to work in all weathers.
- You highly value order and cleanliness.
- You are a team player.
- Experience as a groundworker/roadworker is a plus, but not a must.
- Valid VCA certificate is a plus.
- You speak the Dutch, English or French language for the sake of security, which we want to maintain at all times.
Competencies
- Install elements of the public road system and city landscaping (inspection pits, sewer gullies, dividing walls, street furniture, etc.).
- Secure the site and the site environment by signage, beacons, detour, …
Determine the circulation capabilities of yard machinery according to site layout. - Check and adjust the adjustment of road machinery.
- Repair existing pavement.
- Install and finish elements of the public road network (grouting, etc.).
- Paving in different materials: clinkers, asphalt, cobblestones, valley stones, concrete, etc.
- Roll gravel or crushed stone spreading or compaction.
- Backfill and dam the excavation.
- Perform earthwork and foundation work for the installation of pavements, elements of urban design, …
- Pickets, jalons, identifiers, … Places for carrying out the works (paving, stitching, …).
